Sprint has been waiting for the iPhone for quite some time now, and now that they have it customers are not so happy. It seems that the data network speed is not really that good; customers have said it disappoints them
A report via MacRumors mentions that the Sprint support forums thread is very long indeed, with many customers complaining about the speed of iPhone 3G data connection. One customer has taken a screenshot (Show below) of their speed test, and it clearly shows a slow 0.16Mbps download speed.
Now you would first think that it could be the area the test was done in, but this is not the case as the same person tested the speed of the Samsung Epic Touch with 4G turned off at the same spot, the results were three times faster than the iPhone 4S.
The brand new Apple iPhone 4S that was tested for data connection showed up via speedtest.net, 016Mbps download and 0.05Mbps upload, and in the same spot and same test the Samsung Epic Touch with 4G turned off was three times faster as said above, strange that.
