Should GTA 5 be on iPhone 5 this year?

When we first got our hands on Grand Theft Auto 3 for the iPhone it was amazing and extremely welcomed, which is thanks to hundreds of hours being spent on a birds-eye-view version. While we enjoyed playing that version for iOS, it was certainly lacking in features and graphics found in the newer game. When the iPhone 5 gets a release later this year we don’t want to wait a long time again for an upgrade to the current iOS offering, so should GTA 5 be on the iPhone 5 this year?

One reason it might not be needed is thanks to GTA 3 being such a good game – This was certainly one of the best Grand Theft Auto versions, in our opinion, and on iOS it includes amazing visuals for a mobile phone. If you’ve played the app version then you should have found the custom controls easy to master, nothing like a gamepad, and the gameplay lasts for endless hours.

If the current GTA app is good why do we need GTA 5 this year for iPhone 5? When the 6th generation iPhone launches it will include massive improvements in CPU, graphics, memory, and display resolution. This is something that should be taken advantage of, and while an update could be released for the current GTA app it will be nothing compared to a game being developed right now along side the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. If that is indeed possible.

Then we have the new story, gameplay, and other improvements like car customization that are expected for GTA 5, so we’d love to see the next GTA land this year and be optimized for new iPhone hardware.
