The Chrome web browser for iOS has not long released and we have already seen a number of jailbreaks, which aim to make the popular browser even better on the iPhone and other iOS devices. If you have not used Chrome for iOS then we recommend you watch the 4-minute hands-on below this post, which gives you a quick review of the features on an iPad and iPhone.
Since Chrome finally came to iOS we saw the jailbreak community release a number of browser hacks, which included two named Browser Changer and BrowserChooser. These enhancements were perfect for those iOS users that wanted Chrome to be their default web browser, but another recently launched is called Chromizer.
The Chromizer download will enable iOS users running a jailbroken device to improve their browsing experience even more, which includes these features:
- iPhone style tab switching
- Full screen mode (activated with a three finger tap, but coming to iOS 6 already)
- Pull to refresh (our favorite)
You can also read about other jailbreak tweaks for the iOS version of Chrome here. The tweaked apps can be downloaded from Cydia, so if you have an iOS device that is jailbroken then share a comment after trying these improvements. Chrome for iOS can be found on the iTunes store here.
The second video below shows a 2-minute hands-on with the Chromizer app.
