It is obvious that the iPhone 5 is likely to get a lot more memory, and considering there are a number of smartphones with 1GB of RAM or more it’s almost a certainty. BGR has published an article within the last couple of days that states they have a “trusted source“, which has confirmed some of the iPhone 5 specs. This includes 1GB of RAM for the iPhone 5, and while we expected this – x2 the memory of the iPhone 4S will be welcomed.
The article also speaks of NFC for iPhone, which had been denied in previous reports. BGR get technical with the stages of engineering for an iPhone, which is apparently at an EVT3 stage right now, and not in final production as thought before. The release date has not been confirmed but according to inside sources everything is on schedule for the fall launch around the same time as iOS 6.
Do you welcome double the RAM and NFC with the iPhone 5? You can see an engineering block here, which is apparently used for creating the iPhone 5, or at least one of the initial designs.
