The moment we learned that the iPhone 5 was to come with the smaller and faster lightening port I’m sure that I was not the only one to turn to my speaker dock and realize that its number was up. At first we was promised that there would be a connector in with the new iPhone box to allow you to still dock your iPhone 5 into your Bose and other such speaker docks, but this was not the case, which meant that you would have to pay Apple for the privilege of docking your new phone.
In that time I have been unable to use my Bose and have chosen to use a Bluetooth alternative instead, but that still doesn’t mean I want to keep going to the wall to charge my iPhone 5. Thankfully there is now a greater choice of docks to choose from, with the iPhone 5 lightening dock being one of the better ones, which comes in a choice of Aluminum or Hardwood. Being able to now go to my desk and just sit my iPhone in a dock instead of just a wall plug is so much better, and we have to say that this model is far better than the one that Apple has on their store.
As we said above you can go for the Hardwood version or Black Aluminum and Aluminum and not only supports the iPhone 5 but also the 5th generation iPod touch and the iPad mini. You can see from the image above and the video below just how slick the design is, and at just $34.95 without back support is not too bad of a price either. More details can be found here.
